Setting up a complex system like ERPNext can be tedious. Creating an App using the Control Panel

Click the Deploy to DigitalOcean button to create a Droplet based on this 1-Click App. If you aren’t logged in, this link will prompt you to log in with your DigitalOcean account.

Creating an App using the API

In addition to creating a Droplet from the ERPNext 1-Click App using the control panel, you can also use the DigitalOcean API. As an example, to create a 4GB ERPNext Droplet in the SFO2 region, you can use the following curl command. You need to either save your API access token) to an environment variable or substitute it in the command below.

Getting Started After Deploying ERPNext

Once you’re connected, follow the on-screen instructions for the initial setup. All commands to control your instance will be under the frappe user. By default, changing to frappe user will start the current working directory in the frappe-bench.

Setting Up Domains

Apart from the default site this image comes with, a simple bench new-site {site-name} can be used to instantiate a new site. You’ll need to enable mutlitenancy for that though. Thankfully everything you need is at:

We strongly recommend using SSL to secure the connection between your ERPNext server and the clients connecting to it. Frappe provides the following resources on setting up SSL:
